Definition of Wagyu Beef and Japanese Beef

What is Wagyu?

Wagyu is a breed of cattle designated as a special breed for meat: "Kuroge Wagyu," "Akashi," and "Japanese Shorthorn Beef.

There are four varieties: "Mukaku Wagyu", "Mukaku Wagyu", and "Mukaku Wagyu".

In addition, cattle crossbred within the four breeds are also "Wagyu". Among them, "Kuroge Wagyu" is,

It accounts for more than 90% of Japan's total beef and is considered the best in the world because of its superior meat quality.

 

What is domestic beef?

This term refers to cattle born and fattened in Japan, other than cattle of breeds designated as Wagyu.

Characteristics of each breed of Wagyu

Japanese Black (breed of cattle)

Japanese Shorthorn (breed of cattle)
